ये3रक्ष्यमाणा हीयन्ते दैवेनाभ्याहता नृप । तस्करैश्वापि हीयन्ते सर्व तद्् राजकिल्बिषम्,“नरेश्वरर जो लोग राजाकी ओरसे सुरक्षित न होनेके कारण अनावृष्टि आदि दैवी आपत्तियोंसे तथा चोरोंके उपद्रवसे नष्ट हो जाते हैं, उनके इस विनाशका सारा पाप राजाको ही लगता है
Translation
Vaiśampāyana said: “O king, those who decline and perish because they are not protected by the king—struck by calamities of fate such as drought, or harmed by thieves—of that destruction, the entire blame and sin falls upon the king.”
