भिक्षुलक्षणम्—एकचर्याः, अहिंसा, कैवल्याश्रमः

Marks of the Mendicant: Solitary Wandering, Non-Injury, and the Kaivalya-Discipline

मध्यमानि द्वयान्याहुर्धर्मज्ञानीतराणि च । धर्मज्ञानि विशिष्टानि कार्याकार्योपधारणात्‌

Vyāsa said: ‘Even among the middling, two kinds are spoken of—those who know dharma and those who do not. Of these, the knowers of dharma are superior, because they discern what should be done and what should not be done, and they hold fast to the performance of duty.’
