सर्गकालक्रिया वेदा: कर्ता कार्य क्रियाफलम् | प्रोक्त ते पुत्र सर्व वै यन्मां त्वं परिपृच्छसि,बेटा! तुमने मुझसे जो कुछ पूछा था, उसके अनुसार मैंने तुम्हें सृष्टि, काल, क्रिया, वेद, कर्ता, कार्य तथा क्रियाफल आदि सब विषय बता दिये
sargakālakriyā vedāḥ kartā kārya kriyāphalam | prokta te putra sarva vai yan māṁ tvaṁ paripṛcchasi ||
Vyāsa said: “O son, I have explained to you everything you asked of me—creation and its unfolding, time, action, the Vedas, the agent, the act to be done, and the fruit that action yields.”
