Vāyu said: “Neither for gain, nor for wealth, nor for pleasure has Nārada ever been known to fall into quarrel with anyone. All faults are cut off from him; therefore he is honored everywhere.”

True honor arises from inner purity: one who does not quarrel for profit, wealth, or pleasure, and who has uprooted faults, becomes worthy of respect everywhere.
In Śānti Parva, Vāyu speaks in praise of Nārada’s character, emphasizing that Nārada is free from contentiousness and moral defects, which explains his universal reverence.
