त्रिदशेषु निवत्स्यामो धर्मनिष्ठान्तरात्मसु । वे देवियाँ और मैं सब-के-सब उन असुरोंको त्यागकर तुम्हारे राज्यमें आयी हैं। देवताओंकी अन्तरात्मा धर्ममें निष्ठा रखनेवाली है; इसलिये अब हमलोग इन्हींके यहाँ निवास करेंगी
śakra uvāca | tridaśeṣu nivatsyāmo dharmaniṣṭhāntarātmasu |
Śakra said: “We shall dwell among the gods, whose inner selves are steadfastly established in dharma. Therefore, having abandoned those asuras, we—together with the goddesses—have come into your realm; let us now reside here among those whose conscience is anchored in righteousness.”

True belonging and rightful residence are determined by dharma: one should align with those whose inner conscience is firmly rooted in righteousness, and abandon alliances that oppose ethical order.
Indra (Śakra) declares that the gods and goddesses have left the asuras and have come to the addressee’s realm, choosing to dwell among beings characterized by an inner commitment to dharma.
