सुसम्मृष्टगृहा श्वासन्‌ जितस्त्रीका हुताग्नय: । गुरुशुश्रूषका दान्ता ब्रह्म॒ुण्या: सत्यवादिन:,वे अपना घर-द्वार झाड़-बुहारकर साफ रखते थे। अपनी स्त्रीके मनको प्यारसे जीत लेते थे। प्रतिदिन अग्निहोत्र करते थे। वे गुरुसेवी, जितेन्द्रिय, ब्राह्मणभक्त तथा सत्यवादी थे

śakra uvāca | susammṛṣṭa-gṛhāḥ śvāsan jitastrīkā hutāgnayaḥ | guruśuśrūṣakā dāntā brahmaṇyāḥ satyavādinaḥ ||

Śakra said: “They kept their homes well swept and orderly; they won the hearts of their wives through affection; they maintained the sacred fires and performed the daily Agnihotra. They were devoted attendants upon their teachers, self-controlled, reverent toward Brahmins, and steadfast speakers of truth.”
