तेषां विमृशतामेव तत् तत्समभिधावताम् | क्वचिन्निविशते बुद्धिस्तत्र जीर्यति वृक्षवत्,इस तरह विचार करते हुए भिन्न-भिन्न मतोंकी ओर दौड़नेवाले लोगोंकी बुद्धि कहीं एक जगह प्रवेश करती है और वहीं वृक्षकी भाँति जड़ जमाये जीर्ण हो जाती है
Transliteration
teṣāṃ vimṛśatām eva tat-tat-samabhidhāvatām | kvacin niviśate buddhis tatra jīryati vṛkṣavat ||
Translation
Bhishma said: “For those who keep deliberating yet keep rushing from one doctrine to another, the intellect at times settles in some single position; and once it settles there, it grows old and rigid in that very place—like a tree taking root.”
