Śrī–Indra–Bali Saṃvāda: The Departure and Fourfold Placement of Lakṣmī

तस्य सम शतमाचार्या वसन्ति सतत गृहे । दर्शयन्त: पृथग्धर्मान्‌ नानाश्रमनिवासिन:,उनके दरबारमें सौ आचार्य बराबर रहा करते थे, जो विभिन्न आश्रमोंके निवासी थे और उन्हें भिन्न-भिन्न धर्मोंका उपदेश देते रहते थे

Transliteration

tasya samaśatam ācāryā vasanti satataṃ gṛhe | darśayantaḥ pṛthag dharmān nānāśramanivāsinaḥ ||

Translation

Bhīṣma said: “In his household there constantly lived a full hundred teachers. Belonging to different āśramas, they would expound distinct forms of dharma, each according to his own discipline—so that the ruler’s court remained continually instructed in varied ethical and religious duties.”
