भीष्म उवाच
This line is a colophon marking the completion of a chapter; it signals that the chapter’s subject matter was an exposition of adhyātma (spiritual doctrine) connected with Śrī Kṛṣṇa, rather than presenting a new ethical injunction in itself.
The text formally closes the 211th chapter within Śānti Parva, specifying its placement in the Gokṣa-dharma sub-parva and summarizing its topic as Kṛṣṇa-related spiritual instruction.
