Bhīṣma said: Aditi, through her divine potency, brought forth the mighty Ādityas—the foremost among the gods. Among those Ādityas, the all-pervading Lord Viṣṇu himself manifested in the form of Vāmana; he is Govinda, the sovereign Lord.

Educational Q&A

The supreme Lord may manifest in a seemingly small or humble form (Vāmana) while remaining all-pervading and sovereign (Govinda/Prabhu). Ethical strength lies in righteous purpose and divine order, not merely external magnitude.

Bhīṣma describes Aditi giving birth to the powerful Ādityas and notes that among them Viṣṇu manifested as Vāmana, identifying him as Govinda, the Lord—linking the Āditya lineage with the Vāmana avatāra tradition.
