iti śrīmahābhārate śāntiparvaṇi mokṣadharmaparvaṇi manubṛhaspati-saṃvāde ekādhika-dviśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ
Thus, in the Śrī Mahābhārata, within the Śānti Parva—specifically the Mokṣa-dharma section—ends the dialogue between Manu and Bṛhaspati: the two-hundred-and-first chapter. (This is a concluding colophon marking the close of the chapter, not a new doctrinal verse.)
भीष्म उवाच
This line is a colophon: it does not add a new teaching, but signals that the preceding instruction—framed as the Manu–Bṛhaspati dialogue within Mokṣa-dharma—has concluded for this chapter.
Bhīṣma’s discourse (as the overarching speaker in Śānti Parva) reaches the end of a chapter presented as a dialogue between Manu and Bṛhaspati; the text formally closes Adhyāya 201.
