मनु-उपदेशः — भूत-उत्पत्ति, इन्द्रिय-निवृत्ति, तथा पर-स्वभाव-विवेकः
Manu’s Instruction on Elemental Origination, Sense-Withdrawal, and Discrimination of the Supreme Nature
यतः: सृष्टानि तत्रैव तानि यान्ति पुनः पुनः । महाभूतानि भूतेभ्य: सागरस्योर्मयो यथा,जैसे लहरें समुद्रसे प्रकट होकर फिर उसीमें लीन हो जाती हैं, उसी प्रकार ये पाँच महाभूत भी जिस परमात्मासे उत्पन्न हुए हैं, उसीमें सब प्राणियोंके सहित बारंबार लीन होते हैं
yataḥ sṛṣṭāni tatraiva tāni yānti punaḥ punaḥ | mahābhūtāni bhūtebhyaḥ sāgarasyormayo yathā ||
Bhishma said: “From that very source from which they are created, into that same source they return again and again. Just as waves arise from the ocean and dissolve back into it, so too the five great elements—together with all living beings—repeatedly merge back into the Supreme from whom they have arisen.”
