ततः स मुनिरुत्थाय काश्यपस्तमुवाच ह । अहो बतासि कुशलो बुद्धिमांश्वेति विस्मित:,यह सुनकर काश्यप मुनि आश्वर्यसे चकित होकर खड़े हो गये और बोले--“अहो! तुम तो बड़े कुशल और बुद्धिमान हो'
tataḥ sa munir utthāya kāśyapas tam uvāca ha | aho batāsi kuśalo buddhimān iti vismitaḥ ||
Then the sage Kaśyapa rose and said to him, astonished: “Ah indeed! You are truly capable and wise.”
भीष्म उवाच
The verse highlights the ethical value of discernment (buddhi) and competence (kuśalatā): genuine wisdom is recognized and affirmed by the wise, and such recognition supports the transmission of dharma through respectful dialogue.
After hearing the preceding statement, the sage Kaśyapa stands up in amazement and addresses the other person, praising him as exceptionally skilled and intelligent—signaling approval and setting the tone for further instruction or exchange.
