tadanantaraṁ kāśyapena indradevakaḥ pūjitaḥ, tasya cājñāṁ gṛhītvā te punaḥ svagṛhaṁ pratyāgacchan. iti śrīmahābhārate śāntiparvaṇi mokṣadharmaparvaṇi śṛgālakāśyapasaṁvāde aśītyadhikaśatatamo 'dhyāyaḥ.
After this, Kāśyapa worshipped Indradeva; and, having received his permission, they returned once more to their own home. Thus ends the one-hundred-and-eightieth chapter (the 181st by count) in the Śānti Parva, within the Mokṣadharma section, in the dialogue between the jackal and Kāśyapa.

The closing action underscores dharmic conduct: one should honor the divine or worthy authority, seek and receive proper permission, and then proceed—suggesting that humility, reverence, and orderly completion of duties frame ethical life even after profound instruction.
The episode concludes: Kāśyapa performs worship of Indradevaka, receives his consent/command, and then the participants return to their home, with the colophon marking the end of the chapter within the Śṛgāla–Kāśyapa dialogue in Mokṣadharma.
