संकेते पिड़ला वेश्या कान्तेनासीद् विनाकृता । अथ कृच्छूगता शान्ता बुद्धिमास्थापयत् तदा
Translation
Once, Piḍalā the courtesan sat for a long time at the appointed meeting place, yet her lover did not come. She fell into distress; nevertheless, remaining calm, she steadied her mind and began to reflect in this way.
