Bhīṣma said: “Then, when a thousand years had passed, the Lord prepared the sacrificial pavilion. It was arranged exactly according to the rite as envisioned in the sacred ordinances, and it was further adorned by brahmarṣis and the assembled officiants. Thus, in due order, the great sacrifice was set in motion—an image of dharma expressed through disciplined ritual, learned guidance, and collective responsibility.”
भीष्म उवाच
Dharma is upheld through orderly, well-founded procedure (vidhi/kalpa) carried out with precision (yathāvat) and supported by qualified sages and responsible participants; right action is not merely intention but correct, disciplined execution.
After a long span of time, the Lord (contextually Brahmā) establishes a sacrificial pavilion and begins a properly regulated yajña, graced by brahmarṣis and the assembled officiants, emphasizing the grandeur and correctness of the rite.
