भीष्म उवाच चातुर्वर्ण्यस्य धर्माणां संकरो न प्रशस्यस्ते । अविकारितमं सत्यं सर्ववर्णेषु भारत,भीष्मजीने कहा--भरतनन्दन! ब्राह्मण आदि चारों वर्णोंके जो धर्म हैं, उनका परस्पर सम्मिश्रण अच्छा नहीं माना जाता है। निर्विकार सत्य सभी वर्णोमें प्रतिष्ठित है
Translation
Bhishma said: “O scion of Bharata, it is not praised when the duties of the four varṇas are intermingled. Yet truth, unalterable, stands established in all varṇas.”
