एवं वसेह ससस््नेहा यथाकाममहिंसिता । यत् कृतं तत् तु मे क्षान्तं त्वं च वै क्षम पूजनि,पूजनी! मैं तेरी किसी प्रकार हिंसा नहीं करूँगा। तू यहाँ अपनी इच्छा के अनुसार स्नहेपूर्वक निवास कर। तूने जो कुछ किया है, उसे मैंने क्षमा कर दिया और मैंने जो कुछ किया हो, उसे तू भी क्षमा कर दे
evaṁ vaseha sa-snehā yathākāmaṁ ahiṁsitā | yat kṛtaṁ tat tu me kṣāntaṁ tvaṁ ca vai kṣama pūjani pūjanī ||
Brahmadatta said: “Live here in this way—affectionately and as you wish—without fear of harm. Whatever you have done, I have forgiven. And whatever I may have done, you too should forgive, O worthy of honor.”
ब्रह्मदत्त उवाच
The verse teaches kṣamā (forgiveness) grounded in ahiṁsā (non-violence): one should renounce retaliation, offer pardon for wrongs received, and also seek mutual forgiveness to restore ethical harmony.
