अमृतास्वादसदृशं बलतेजो5भिवर्धनम्‌ | आदायादाय सैवाशु तयो: प्रादात्‌ पुन: पुन:,पूजनीका लाया हुआ वह फल अमृतके समान स्वादिष्ट और बल तथा तेजकी वृद्धि करनेवाला होता था। वह बारंबार उस फलको ला-लाकर शीतघ्रतापूर्वक उन दोनोंको दिया करती थी

amṛtāsvādasadṛśaṃ balatejo'bhivardhanam | ādāyādāya saivāśu tayoḥ prādāt punaḥ punaḥ ||

Bhīṣma said: “That fruit, delightful in taste like nectar and conducive to the increase of strength and vital radiance, she would quickly bring again and again, and repeatedly present it to those two, with reverent care.”
