तत् कृत्यमभिनिर्वर्त्य प्रकृति: शत्रुतां गता । “तुम जातिसे ही मेरे शत्रु हो, किंतु विशेष प्रयोजनसे मित्र बन गये थे। वह प्रयोजन सिद्ध कर लेनेके पश्चात् तुम्हारी प्रकृति फिर सहज शत्रुभावको प्राप्त हो गयी ।। १६२ $ ।। सो>हमेवं प्रणीतानि ज्ञात्वा शास्त्राणि तत्त्वतः
Translation
Bhishma said: “For you are, by birth, my enemy; but for a particular purpose you became a friend. Once that purpose was fulfilled, your nature returned to its inherent hostility.”
