यदि किंचिन्मयाज्ञानात्‌ पुरस्ताद्‌ दुष्कृंत कृतम्‌ । न तन्मनसि कर्ताव्यं क्षामये त्वां प्रसीद मे,“यदि मैंने अज्ञानवश पहले कभी तुम्हारा कोई अपराध किया हो तो तुम्हें उसको मनमें नहीं लाना चाहिये, मैं क्षमा माँगता हूँ। तुम मुझपर प्रसन्न हो जाओ

yadi kiñcin mayājñānāt purastād duṣkṛtaṃ kṛtam | na tan manasi kartavyaṃ kṣāmaye tvāṃ prasīda me ||

Bhīṣma said: “If, through my ignorance, I ever committed any wrong against you in the past, you should not keep it in your heart. I ask your forgiveness; be gracious and be pleased with me.”
