नार्थमल्पं परिभवेन्नावमन्येत शात्रवान्‌ | बुद्धया तु बुद्धयेदात्मानं न चाबुद्धिषु विश्वसेत्‌,थोड़ा-सा भी धन मिलता हो तो उसका तिरस्कार न करे। शत्रु शक्तिहीन हो तो भी उसकी अवहेलना न करे। बुद्धिसे अपने स्वरूप और अवस्थाको समझे तथा बुद्धिहीनोंपर कभी विश्वास न करे

Translation

Bhishma said: “Do not disdain even a small gain. Do not slight an enemy even if he seems powerless. With intelligence, understand yourself and your condition, and never place trust in the foolish.”
