Gratitude, Discernment, and the Escalation of Power (Śvā–Dvipī–Vyāghra–Nāga–Siṃha–Śarabha Itihāsa)
तथा कुरु महाबाहो सर्वज्ञस्त्वं न संशय: । 'भगवन्! यह चीता कुत्तोंका शत्रु है और मुझे मार डालना चाहता है। महामुने! महाबाहो! आप ऐसा करें, जिससे आपकी कृपासे मुझे इस चीतेसे भय न हो। आप सर्वज्ञ हैं, इसमें संशय नहीं है। (अतः मेरी प्रार्थना सुनकर उसको अवश्य पूर्ण करें)
tathā kuru mahābāho sarvajñas tvaṃ na saṃśayaḥ |
Bhishma said: “So act accordingly, O mighty-armed one.
