Educational Q&A

Internal discord, if ignored—especially by elders—escalates into factionalism and can destroy an entire lineage; therefore, disputes must be addressed early and responsibly to protect family and social stability.

In the Shanti Parva’s instruction on dharma and governance, Bhishma warns about the social consequences of unresolved family conflict, emphasizing the duty of senior members to intervene before quarrels harden into permanent divisions.
