कृतं भवद्धि: सदृशमनुरूपमिवात्मन:
kṛtaṃ bhavaddhiḥ sadṛśam anurūpam ivātmanaḥ
Sañjaya said: “What has been done is indeed in keeping with your own judgment—seemly and fitting, as though perfectly aligned with your very nature.”
संजय उवाच
Actions should accord with one’s discernment and inner character; what is ethically ‘fitting’ (anurūpa) is that which aligns with sound judgment (dhiḥ) and one’s true nature (ātman).
Sañjaya reports and evaluates an action just taken, affirming to his listener that it was appropriate and consistent with the person’s own judgment and disposition.
