Duryodhana’s Post-Duel Lament and Instructions (भग्नसक्थस्य विलापः)
आगम्य शिबिरं रात्रौ सो5भ्यगच्छत पाण्डवान् । तच्च तेभ्य: समाख्याय सहितस्तै: समाहित:,शिबिरमें आकर रातमें वे पाण्डवोंसे मिले और उनसे सारा समाचार कहकर उन्हींके साथ सावधान होकर रहे
āgamya śibiraṃ rātrau so 'bhyagacchata pāṇḍavān | tac ca tebhyaḥ samākhyāya sahitas taiḥ samāhitaḥ ||
Arriving at the camp by night, he went to the Pāṇḍavas. Having reported the entire matter to them, he remained there together with them, composed and vigilant.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
In wartime, responsible action includes timely communication and mental steadiness: one should report facts clearly and then remain alert and composed (samāhita), supporting collective decision-making without panic.
A messenger/participant reaches the military camp at night, approaches the Pāṇḍavas, conveys the full news, and then stays with them in a state of readiness and attentive restraint.
