hṛṣṭaromā mahārāja pratyuvāca janārdanam | mahārāja! śrīkṛṣṇake etā kahanepara dharmarāja yudhiṣṭhirake śarīrameṃ romāñca ho āyā | ve unase isa prakāra bole

Hearing these words addressed to Śrī Kṛṣṇa, King Yudhiṣṭhira—the upholder of dharma—was overcome with a thrill of reverent awe, his hair standing on end. With his mind stirred by the moral weight of what had been said, he then replied to Janārdana in this manner.

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights the ethical seriousness with which Yudhiṣṭhira receives counsel: true dharma is approached with humility and reverent awe, and moral speech should be answered thoughtfully rather than impulsively.

After Śrī Kṛṣṇa is addressed and something significant is said, Yudhiṣṭhira experiences romāñca (awe) and then begins his formal reply to Janārdana; the line functions as a transition into Yudhiṣṭhira’s response.
