smariṣyaty aśubhaṃ karma yat tacchakunibuddhijam |
Sanjaya said: Dhṛtarāṣṭra will recall the inauspicious deeds—those born of Śakuni’s counsel—when he hears that this son of his has been slain. The verse underscores how unethical choices, once embraced for advantage, return as bitter remembrance in the hour of loss.
