रुद्रतुल्यबलैर्युक्तां योधानामयुतैस्त्रिभि: । न सा विजानाति रणात् कदाचिद् विनिवर्तितुम्
rudratulyabalairyuktāṃ yodhānām ayutais tribhiḥ | na sā vijānāti raṇāt kadācid vinivartitum ||
Vaiśampāyana said: Endowed with strength equal to Rudra’s and supported by thirty thousand warriors, she does not know how to turn back from battle at any time—unyielding in the face of combat and steadfast in her chosen course.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights unwavering martial resolve: once committed to a righteous or fated course in war, the described figure does not retreat. It reflects the kṣatriya ideal of steadfastness and the intense, almost divine ferocity associated with battlefield duty.
Vaiśampāyana describes a formidable female figure (referred to as “she”) whose power is likened to Rudra’s and who is backed by thirty thousand warriors; her defining trait here is that she never turns back from the battlefield.
