vaiśampāyana uvāca | dadāv anucaro merur agniputrāya bhārata |
Vaiśampāyana said: O Bhārata, Mount Meru bestowed one of his own attendants upon Agni’s son, Skanda. Thus, in the tale of divine affiliations, Meru offered service and companions to Skanda, showing that rightful power is upheld by willing and orderly allegiance, not by coercion.
