Vasiṣṭhāpavāha: Sarasvatī’s Diversion and Viśvāmitra’s Curse (वसिष्ठापवाहः)

रत्नानि च महाहाणि धन धान्यं च पुष्कलम्‌ | ययौ तीर्थ महाबाहुर्यायातं पृथिवीपते,पृथ्वीनाथ! महायशस्वी महाबाहु बलरामजी उस तीर्थमें भी ब्राह्मणोंको विधिपूर्वक हाथी, घोड़े, खच्चरियोंसे जुते हुए रथ, बहुमूल्य रत्न तथा प्रचुर धन-धान्यका दान करके वहाँसे यायात तीर्थमें गये

ratnāni ca mahārghāṇi dhana-dhānyaṁ ca puṣkalam | yayau tīrthaṁ mahābāhur yāyātaṁ pṛthivīpate ||

Vaiśampāyana said: The mighty-armed Balarāma, O lord of the earth, having duly bestowed upon the brāhmaṇas at that sacred ford elephants, horses, mule-yoked chariots, precious gems, and abundant wealth and grain, then departed for the holy place known as Yāyāta-tīrtha.
