मम दीनस्य लुब्धस्य मौख्येण हतचेतस: । त्वं गतिस्त्वं च मे नाथ: प्रसादं कर्तुमहसि,भरतश्रेष्ठ! वे पृथ्वीपर माथा टेक हाथ जोड़कर बोले--“भगवन्‌! मैं आपको प्रसन्न करना चाहता हूँ। आप मुझ दीन, लोभी और मूर्खतासे हतबुद्धि हुए अपराधीके अपराधको क्षमा कर दें। आप ही मेरी गति हैं। आप ही मेरे रक्षक हैं। आप मुझपर अवश्य कृपा करें!

mama dīnasya lubdhasya maukhyena hatacetasaḥ | tvaṃ gatis tvaṃ ca me nāthaḥ prasādaṃ kartum arhasi, bharataśreṣṭha! |
