O king, then and there the goddess Sarasvatī manifested, bearing the name Suprabhā. Hastening swiftly, she approached and paid honor to Brahmā. At the sight of Sarasvatī the sages were filled with joy, and they greatly revered that sacrifice. Thus, Sarasvatī—best among rivers—appeared at the Puṣkara sacred ford for the sake of Brahmā and to bring satisfaction to the wise seers.
वैशम्पायन उवाच
Sacred rites gain fullness when performed with reverence and when divine grace (here, Sarasvatī) is welcomed; honoring the cosmic elder (Brahmā) and pleasing the wise underscores dharmic conduct grounded in respect, purity, and devotion.
During a sacrificial context at Puṣkara, Sarasvatī manifests as Suprabhā, swiftly arrives, honors Brahmā, and her auspicious appearance delights the assembled sages, who then hold the sacrifice in even greater esteem.
