Educational Q&A

Even in a war setting, dharma is upheld through respect for elders and kin: formal salutation (praṇāma) and sincere affection (premṇā hṛdayena) express self-control, gratitude, and proper social-ethical order.

Sañjaya describes Kṛṣṇa and Arjuna meeting Balarāma: they first bow to him and then embrace him warmly, showing joy and reverence toward their revered elder.
