Educational Q&A

The verse highlights how war, once unleashed by unrighteous choices, consumes even the well-born and powerful; lineage offers no protection when conflict is driven by adharma and met by determined kṣatriya action.

Sañjaya reports to Dhṛtarāṣṭra that Bhīmasena advances to the army’s front and kills two of Dhṛtarāṣṭra’s sons—Duṣpradharṣa and Sujāta—shooting each with a pair of arrows.
