स पपात रथादू राजन्‌ भूमौ तूर्ण ममार च,राजन! जयत्सेन रथसे पृथ्वीपर गिरा और तुरंत मर गया। मान्यवर नरेश! तदनन्तर क्रोधमें भरे हुए श्रुतर्वाने गीधकी पाँख और झुकी हुई गाँठवाले सौ बाणोंसे भीमसेनको बींध डाला

Transliteration

sa papāta rathādū rājan bhūmau tūrṇaṃ mamāra ca |

Translation

Sañjaya said: “O King, he fell from his chariot to the ground and died at once.” The narration lays bare the swift, irreversible consequence of battlefield violence, where prowess and life can end in a single moment.
