roṣeṇa mahatāviṣṭaḥ śūlam udyamya māriṣa |
cikṣepa bhujavegena jighāṃsuḥ śinipuṅgavam ||
Sañjaya said: O revered one, overwhelmed by mighty wrath, he raised a spear and hurled it with the force of his arms, intent on killing the bull among the Śinis.
संजय उवाच

Sañjaya narrates that a warrior, inflamed with great anger, raises a śūla and hurls it with full arm-force, aiming to kill the foremost Śini warrior—an epithet pointing to Sātyaki.
