yad eka-sahitāḥ pārthā na śekur ativartitum |
Sañjaya said: Even when the sons of Pṛthā (the Pāṇḍavas) acted together as one, they were unable to pass beyond him. At that moment we witnessed the astonishing prowess of your son: though all of Kuntī’s sons strove at once, they could not overleap him and press forward.
