Educational Q&A

The verse highlights disciplined martial conduct: strength is not mere aggression but controlled skill and steadfast resolve in fulfilling one’s role (kṣatriya-dharma) amid the moral gravity of war.

Sañjaya describes Bhīma’s dynamic circular footwork and feints; as he maneuvers, his mace flashes splendidly, compared to a lightning-lit cloud, emphasizing his power and battlefield presence.
