tasya lohita-raktasya dīpta-khaḍgasya yudhyataḥ | amānuṣa iva ākāro babhau paramabhīṣaṇaḥ ||
Sañjaya said: As he fought, his body was smeared with crimson blood and his sword blazed with a fierce sheen. In that moment his very form appeared almost inhuman—utterly terrifying—revealing how the frenzy of night-battle can strip war of ordinary human measure and restraint.
