‘O Grandsire! By performing austerity in the waters I have obtained food for the sake of living beings. Those herbs, taking the form of nourishment, will continually transform into diverse conditions, just as creatures themselves do.’ Having spoken thus, Bhava (Śiva)—his anger aroused and his mind cast down—departed. That great ascetic went to the foothills of Mount Muñjavat to undertake further austerities.
