अध्याय १ — न्यग्रोधवनोपवेशनम् तथा द्रौणिनिश्चयः
Night at the Banyan and Drauṇi’s Resolve
न लेभे स तु निद्रां वै दहमानो हि मन्युना । वीक्षाज्चक्रे महाबाहुस्तद् वनं घोरदर्शनम्
na lebhe sa tu nidrāṃ vai dahamāno hi manyunā | vīkṣāṃ cakre mahābāhus tad vanaṃ ghoradarśanam ||
Sañjaya said: Consumed by burning wrath, he could not obtain sleep at all. That mighty-armed warrior kept casting his gaze again and again toward that forest, dreadful to behold.
