godāvarī kṛṣṇaveṇā kāverī ca saridvarā | kimpunā ca viśalyā ca tathā vaitaraṇī nadī ||
Nārada said: “(There are) the rivers Godāvarī, Kṛṣṇaveṇā, and Kāverī—foremost among rivers—along with Kimpunā, Viśalyā, and the river Vaitaraṇī.”
