Arjuna said: “If, in the fourteenth year from now, Duryodhana does not—after due courtesies and proper acknowledgment—restore our kingdom to us, then what has been declared will inevitably prove true.”

The verse underscores accountability in dharma: when a rightful claim (the kingdom) is denied even after agreed conditions (the exile term), the resulting consequences become morally inevitable, and responsibility rests on the one who refuses restitution.
Arjuna states a conditional warning: if Duryodhana does not return the Pandavas’ kingdom in the fourteenth year—after proper formalities—then the foretold outcome (implied conflict and its results) will certainly come to pass.
