Shloka 67

Sabhā Parva, Adhyāya 68 — Pāṇḍavānāṃ Vanavāsa-prasthānaḥ; Duḥśāsana-nindā; Pāṇḍava-pratijñāḥ

इस प्रकार श्रीमह्ााभारत सभापव॑के अन्तर्गत झ्यूतपर्वमें द्रौपदीप्रश्नविषयक सरसठवाँ अध्याय पूरा हुआ,अहं ज्यायानहं ज्यायानिति कन्येप्सया तदा । तयोर्देवनमत्रासीत्‌ प्राणयोरिति नः श्रुतम्‌

ahaṁ jyāyān ahaṁ jyāyān iti kanyepsayā tadā | tayor devanām atrāsīt prāṇayor iti naḥ śrutam ||

Vaiśampāyana said: “At that time, driven by the desire to win the maiden, each of the two kept declaring, ‘I am the superior, I am the superior.’ Thus, as we have heard, a contest of skill took place there between those two champions, as though their very lives were at stake.”
