Yudhiṣṭhira said: “Honor is not truly praised when it rests on deceit and a gambler’s trickery. O Śakuni, do not seek to defeat us by an unrighteous path, like a cruel man. Let victory not be yours through fraud.”

Educational Q&A

Honor gained through fraud is not worthy of praise; victory should be sought only through righteous means (dharma), not through deceitful manipulation.

During the dice-game episode in the Sabha Parva, Yudhiṣṭhira addresses Śakuni, condemning the use of trickery in gambling and warning him not to win by improper, cruel means.
