हितं हि परम मन्ये विदुरो यत्‌ प्रभाषते । क्रियतां पुत्र तत्‌ सर्वमेतन्मन्ये हितं तव,“विदुर जो कहते हैं, उसीको मैं अपना सर्वोत्तम हित मानता हूँ। बेटा! तुम भी वही सब करो। मेरी समझमें तुम्हारे लिये यही हितकर है

hitaṁ hi paramaṁ manye viduro yat prabhāṣate | kriyatāṁ putra tat sarvam etan manye hitaṁ tava ||

Vaiśampāyana said: “I regard as the highest good whatever Vidura speaks. Therefore, my son, let all of that be carried out. In my judgment, this alone is truly beneficial for you.”
