भेदे विनाशो राज्यस्य तत् पुत्र परिवर्जय । पित्रा मात्रा च पुत्रस्य यद् वै कार्य परं स्मृतम्,“वैर-विरोध होनेसे राज्यका नाश हो जाता है, अतः पुत्र! जूएका आग्रह छोड़ दो। पिता-माताको चाहिये कि वे पुत्रको उत्तम कर्तव्यकी शिक्षा दें; इसीलिये मैंने ऐसा कहा है
Translation
“In division lies the ruin of the kingdom; therefore, my son, avoid gambling. A father and mother should instruct their son in the highest duty—this is why I have spoken so.”
