Vaiśaṃpāyana said: “Your aims have been fulfilled and you are now endowed with wealth; therefore, attain peace and gladness. And if you grant me leave, I too am ready to depart for Dvārakā.” With these words, the righteous and greatly renowned Śrī Hari, taking Yudhiṣṭhira with him, went to Kuntī and spoke to her with affectionate satisfaction: “Aunt, your sons have now obtained sovereignty; their desire is accomplished. They are all prosperous in riches and jewels. Now live joyfully with them. If you permit, I wish to go to Dvārakā.”

Educational Q&A

Even after success and the attainment of power, one should seek inner contentment (prīti) and act with propriety—especially by requesting permission from elders and honoring family bonds. Prosperity is framed as meaningful when accompanied by peace, gratitude, and respectful conduct.

Kṛṣṇa, described as righteous and renowned, accompanies Yudhiṣṭhira to Kuntī. He tells her that her sons have achieved sovereignty and prosperity, urges her to live happily with them, and then asks her permission to depart for Dvārakā.
