Vaiśaṃpāyana said: Then the wide-famed Hari (Kṛṣṇa), approaching Pṛthā (Kuntī) with joy, spoke: “O aunt, today your sons have attained sovereignty; their long-cherished aim is fulfilled. They are all endowed with wealth and jewels. Now dwell happily with them. If you permit, I wish to depart for Dvārakā.”

Educational Q&A

The verse highlights dharmic propriety after political success: sovereignty and wealth are acknowledged as achieved, yet relationships, gratitude, and seeking elders’ permission (Kṛṣṇa asking Kuntī’s leave) remain central ethical duties.

After the Pāṇḍavas’ attainment of royal power, Kṛṣṇa approaches Kuntī, congratulates her on her sons’ success and prosperity, urges her to live happily with them, and asks permission to depart for Dvārakā.
